Dr. Switzer works exclusively in the field of leadership. He holds a Doctor of Strategic Leadership with an emphasis in Leadership Coaching. He has worked with numerous public and private organizations across the U.S. and has spoken at nearly thirty state, national, and international conferences. More recently, he has worked with leaders in Ecuador and Cambodia.

Previously, Dr. Switzer spent 28 years with the Sacramento Sheriff’s Department.  Nearly half of his career was spent at the management and executive levels.  As an experienced leader, he frequently served as a change agent to implement new programs or to improve operations in teams and/or troubled areas.  In 2000 and 2004, he was selected as a Manager of the Year Finalist. 

Dr. Switzer is a Master Instructor and Certified Management Consultant (CMC) through the Institute of Management Consultants. He is a member of the International Coaching Federation and has completed the requirements for certification as a coach.

He has the ability to communicate with a wide-range of audiences, and has a passion to help others lead more effectively and improve organizational performance. He is a popular conference speaker, trainer, and consultant, but most of all he’s a loving husband and dad to three boys and a daughter who love to climb mountains.
