Bio - Merle Switzer
Merle is a dynamic individual who has a unique blend of experience, education and training. He spent nearly 28 years in a large organization with more than half of his career at the management and executive levels.
Over the years, Merle has been very successful as a leader. He has led organizational philosophy changes, developed new programs, turned around poor performing areas and improved customer relations. Twice in five years he was recognized in the top five of managers from among more than 80.
Now, Merle teaches others how to lead, work with teams and manage change. Merle began teaching leadership in other organizations in 2001. By 2004, he knew he needed to scale back or retire and pursue his passion of helping other leaders. In late 2004, he retired to help others full-time.

He holds Bachelor and Master Degrees in Criminal Justice and a Master’s in Public Administration. He is a graduate of Command College and LAPD West Point Leadership Programs.
He is a Master Instructor and certified in problem-based learning. He also holds a Lifetime Community College Teaching Credential.
He has the ability to communicate with a wide-range of audiences, and has an energized passion to help others lead more effectively and improve organizational performance. He is a member of the Institute of Management Consultants.
He is a popular conference speaker, trainer, and consultant, but most of all he’s a loving husband and dad to three boys and a daughter who love to climb mountains.
Important Update: In order to better serve his clients, Merle started coursework for a Doctor of Strategic Leadership at Regent University in May 2007. This program is one of two within the School of Global Leadership & Entrepeneurship. More information about the program can be found on the Regent University website. Update: I have now completed my second year...hurray (April 2009)!
